By using AfriSelect’s services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read carefully before placing an order.
1. Services Provided
AfriSelect is a personal shopper and logistics service that:
• Purchases items from UK retailers based on client requests.
• Packages and ships items internationally across Africa via DHL.
• Provides proof of purchase and DHL tracking for every order.
2. Brand Mentions and Authenticity
• AfriSelect may reference UK brands (e.g., Nike, Zara, Gucci) to help clients identify products.
• Mention of a brand does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or official partnership.
• All items are sourced from official or authorised UK retailers. AfriSelect does not sell counterfeit or unauthorised goods.
• Clients are guaranteed item authenticity through retailer receipts.
3. Prohibited Items
For safety and regulatory reasons, the following items cannot be shipped:
Liquids
• Parcels containing a combination of liquids or gels with electronic devices
• Aerosols, perfumes, and aftershaves (including eau de parfum and eau de toilette)
• Hazardous Chemicals
• Non-Hazardous Chemicals
• Cleaning Products
• Alcohol (e.g, ethanol, isopropyl alcohol
• Acetone
Batteries & Power Devices
• Damaged or defective batteries
• Loose batteries of any type (including power banks, USB chargers, and household batteries)
• Power banks
• Rechargeable wireless earbuds (e.g., Apple AirPods, Samsung Galaxy Buds)
Cosmetics & Personal Care
• Nail polish
Food & Groceries
• Only dry or tinned foods may be shipped
• No glass items
• Alcoholic beverages
• Cigarettes, cigars, tobacco products, and vaping devices (e-cigarettes, e-hookahs, e-cigars, vape pens)
Illegal & Controlled Substances
• Illegal narcotics and cannabis-derived products, including CBD
Electronics & High-Value Items
• More than 2 mobile phones, laptops, or other small electronic devices per shipment
• Samsung Galaxy Note7 devices
• Total order value cannot exceed £5,000
Other Restricted Items
• Counterfeit goods
• Pornographic materials
• Antiques, artworks, and fine art valued over £5,000 individually
• Commemorative coins, medals, and high-value collectibles over £1,800
• Jewellery, watches, costume jewellery, or items containing precious metals/stones valued over £4,000
• Loose precious or semi-precious stones, cut or uncut, polished or unpolished
4. Pricing and Fees
Service Fee
Minimum order value of £100
Covers sourcing, purchasing, and full order management from UK retailers.
• Orders £100–£499 → 20%
• Orders £500–£999 → 17%
• Orders £1,000+ → 15%
(This fee ensures a smooth end-to-end process — from checkout to doorstep.)
Premium Service & Logistics Fee – £25
A flat-rate concierge fee that covers:
• Secure packaging and quality checks
• Order consolidation from multiple UK stores
• Tracking coordination and delivery support
(Our logistics team ensures your box arrives safely and beautifully prepared.)
FX Handling Fee – £4
A small charge to manage international currency conversion and secure payment processing.
Shipping Fee – £5/kg
Flat-rate DHL Express shipping from the UK to your destination in Africa.
(Shipping costs vary by total parcel weight)
Example:
If your order totals £150 and weighs 3kg, your estimated total service cost would include:
• 20% Service Fee (£30)
• £25 Premium Service & Logistics Fee
• £4 FX Handling Fee
• £15 Shipping Fee (£5 × 3kg)
Total Service Cost: £74
Your entire UK shop is handled for you — no extra hidden fees. All fees are payable upfront and are non-refundable, except where noted in Section 9.
5. Order Process
• Orders are processed only after full payment is received.
• AfriSelect purchases items strictly according to the client’s request.
• Stock availability is dependent on UK retailers. AfriSelect cannot guarantee items that are discontinued, restricted, or out of stock.
• If an item is unavailable, a refund for that item will be issued (excluding fees).
• Proof of purchase and DHL tracking are provided after shipment.
6. Payment Methods and Security (Updated)
AfriSelect accepts multiple secure payment options for your convenience. All payments are processed in GBP, and orders are only confirmed once full payment has been received and verified.
Note: For some payment methods, a personal name may appear on your bank or card statement. This is normal and does not affect the validity of your payment.
Accepted Payment Methods
1. PayPal

Pay via card (Visa, MasterCard, Amex) or PayPal account.

Invoices are issued in GBP; PayPal automatically converts if your card uses another currency.

All service, packaging, and shipping fees are included.

Recommended for clients across Africa for reliability and buyer protection.
2. Stripe

Accepts all major credit and debit cards worldwide.

Secure, integrated payment via invoice for a smooth checkout.

Charges are in GBP.
3. Western Union

Payments must be sent in GBP.

Clients must provide the transaction reference number.

Orders are only processed once payment is verified.

Important: Payments via Western Union are final — no chargebacks or refunds.
4. Bank Transfer

UK or international bank transfers (SWIFT/IBAN) accepted.

Include your order number/reference when making the transfer.

Orders processed only after funds are confirmed.
Important Payment Guidelines

Payment must be received in full before any order is processed.

The billing address must match the delivery/shipping address provided. Orders with mismatched addresses may be refused or cancelled to prevent fraud.

Clients are responsible for any local bank fees, currency conversion fees, or Western Union charges.

AfriSelect begins shopping only after full payment is confirmed.

Payment links or invoices expire after a set period (e.g., 24 hours-72 hours) to ensure accurate pricing and product availability.
7. Customs and Import Duties
• Clients are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and clearance fees in their destination country.
• AfriSelect is not liable for customs delays, confiscations, or additional charges.
• Clients are advised to review their local import rules before ordering.
8. Fraud Prevention and Compliance
• AfriSelect complies with anti-money laundering (AML) and fraud prevention laws.
• Suspicious or fraudulent orders may be cancelled, and details may be reported to authorities.
• Clients must provide accurate and verifiable personal and payment details.
9. AfriSelect Protection Plan (Insurance)
AfriSelect offers added protection for your peace of mind.
Coverage Includes:
• Loss during DHL transit
• Damage in transit (if packaging intact but item harmed)
• Misdelivery
Fees:
• Standard Protection (orders up to £300): included
• Enhanced Protection:
£10 for orders £301–£500
£20 for orders £501–£1,000
£30 for orders £1,001+
Claims Process:
• Clients must notify AfriSelect within 7 days of delivery or delivery attempt.
• Documentation required: proof of purchase, DHL tracking, photos of any damage pictured next to AfriSelect Order Summary/Invoice.
Refunds or replacements are processed in line with Protection Plan coverage.
Exclusions:
• Damage caused by improper client handling after delivery.
• Loss/damage due to customs inspections or client misdeclarations.
• Compensation capped at declared item value or purchased protection plan limit.
10. Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds are only possible if:
1. An item is unavailable from the retailer.
2. An item is lost/damaged under the Protection Plan.
3. The incorrect item is shipped.
Refund Exclusions:
• Service fees, packaging fees, and FX fees are non-refundable.
• Clients may cancel or modify orders only before AfriSelect purchases the item. After payment, cancellations are not eligible for refunds.
11. Delivery Timeframes
• Estimated delivery: 5–10 business days after purchase.
• Times vary based on retailer stock, DHL operations, and customs.
• AfriSelect is not liable for delays outside its control.
12. Communication Policy
• AfriSelect communicates via Instagram DM, Telephone, WhatsApp, or email.
• Clients must provide accurate contact details and reply promptly.
• AfriSelect is not responsible for missed messages or delayed responses due to client inaction.
13. Retailer Liability Disclaimer
AfriSelect is not responsible for:
• Retailer errors (e.g., wrong/defective items)
• Manufacturer defects, recalls, or warranty issues
14. Content Use
• AfriSelect may take and share photos of packaged or shipped items for marketing purposes.
• Clients who prefer not to have their orders featured must notify AfriSelect at the time of ordering.
• No personal data, receipts, or identifying information will ever be shared.
15. Limitation of Liability
• AfriSelect’s liability ends once items are handed over to DHL.
• Total liability is limited to the item’s declared value and any Protection Plan purchased.
16. Governing Law
• These terms are governed by UK law.
• Disputes will fall under UK jurisdiction.
17. Client Acknowledgment
By placing an order with AfriSelect, you confirm that:
• You are responsible for customs and duties.
• You understand AfriSelect is not officially affiliated with any brand.
• You agree to pay all fees upfront and accept non-refundable conditions.
• You understand our Protection Plan, refunds, and liability limits.
